Future Girls - Biting Her Nails - Help Save the Youth of America From Exploding - Double Special! [24 Aug 2003|10:01am]

Hello again! This week we have a DOUBLE SPECIAL! It's sort of like a super showcase for the bands I like. This week we have songs by smile.dk, globe and less than jake.

My three songs for the week (or whenever I decide to update again) are:

Future Girls by SMiLE.dk - DDR fans are probably aware of the greatness that is smile.dk, but for those of you who don't know - learn! Future Girls is one of my favourite songs, especially because it reminds me of the Sailor Moon cast. Apparently, I'm not alone on this, as it was also made into a Sailor Moon music video.
BONUS: Kissy Kissy by SMiLE.dk - This is my favourite song by them. All I'll tell you is that they actually say 'sugar bee'. Yes. DOWNLOAD.

Biting Her Nails by Globe - Biting Her Nails is such a fun song. It's half English and half Japanese, and it knows it. The end is my favourite part, and I don't mean that in a cynical way either.
BONUS: Like A Snowy Kiss by Globe - This song has a totally different sound than Biting Her Nails, so if you didn't like that one, try this, and if you did like that one, see if you like this one. It works for everyone!

Help Save the Youth of America From Exploding by Less Than Jake - SKA! For those of you who don't know, I love ska music. Next update I'm planning on some MP stuff. But this song is worth the download, if only to hear 'sit down, remind me how, this is the same old story of growing up and getting lost.'
BONUS: Automatic by Less Thank Jake - Automatic is another really fun song by Less Than Jake. Like HStYoAFE, it's got a really catchy line or two, my favourite being 'rules just guide me to blindly follow'. XD

What up yo? Nah, just kidding. This is my first post at our mp3 rotaion and I decided to pick my favourit 3 songs on my playlist. I provided a pic and a couple of other things along with the mp3 for your viewing plesure.

[ Josh Groban - Alla Luce Del Sole - lyrics ]

This man is a hunk. I first discovered this man from my sister while I was stuck in her car, randomely listening to her CD's. If you heard of Charolette Church, my might have heard of Josh Groban. This guy had never sang before, and only started it because he needed an required Art credit for school. His first preformance I think was of an opening song at a Celine Dion concert. If you might not have guessed it, Josh Groban is what people at my school call a choir boy. But just because you'r not interested in this kind of music doesnt mean you shouldn't give this song a chance. As a wise person at amazon.com once said: "All Luce Del Sole is a great song to sing with while driving down the interstate." (By the way, the songs in Italian.)

[ Maroon 5 - Through With You - lyrics ]

I'm sure you all have heard of Maroon 5 by now, ne? If so, you have probably checked out Harder To Breathe on the radio or VH1 Music Vidio countdown. I don't know much about thease guys eccept that thier songs rock. The band members consist of Adam Levine (vocals/guitar) along with James Valentine (guitar), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards), Ryan Dusick (drums), and Mickey Madden (bass) that form a fusion of grindy vocals with a mix of rock, R&B and soul. Through With You's</a> tune is somehow familiar but I can't quit put my finger on it. Once you get past learning the unexspected high vocals, and twisty-turns in the beat it's a great song to sing along with.

[ Janne da Arc - Maria no Tsumeato - lyrics ]

YaYa! Bring on the jrock! This is my fav jrock group so I had to choose a song from them. Maria no Tsumeato is my favorit song because of its fast beat, guitar solo's, and the way the bass sounds in the background. XD. My friend Heather showed me this song when I asked her if she could give me a Janne da Arc song she had when I was currently just getting to know them. And unfortunantly I still don't know much about them because of the lack of good</a> info sites. *glare*

You Shook Me All Night Long - Turning Japanese - Kotobani Naranai Kimochi [15 Aug 2003|04:06pm]

I'm pleased to announce the first mp3 posts to Sing The Words!

My three songs for the week (or whenever I decide to update again) are:

You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC - Oh this song is a total classic! The line 'knocking me out with those American thighs' is what hooked me in.

Turning Japanese by Incubus - When I downloaded this, it was hard as hell to find. It's a cover of the song 'Turning Japanese' which many an otaku can sort of relate to, I think.

Kotobani Naranai Kimochi by Utada Hikaru - 'These Feelings I Can't Describe' basically. This is a slower song, with a pretty melody. The beginning is especially pretty. :D
